The Devils will speak with unrestricted free agent Petr Sykora again now that Zach Parise has chosen to go elsewhere and join the Minnesota Wild. Had Parise re-signed with New Jersey, the team may not have brought him back. Sykora said prior to free agency that his first choice was to stay with the Devils.
