The Devils knew that Travis Zajac, who is recovering from a torn Achilles tendon, might need some games off, as will be the case Wednesday. "I think we were mentally prepared and warned there were going to be some bumps in the road. It was obviously a real significant injury," Devils coach Pete DeBoer said. "He was coming back at kind of the front end of the time period they had allotted for it. I'm not concerned about it. Minor setback. We'll just keep moving forward." Zajac isn't expected to be 100% this season, so we expect him to continue to miss the occasional practice and game as the campaign progresses.
