The Devils have re-signed goaltender Johan Hedberg to a one-year deal. We do not know what the cap hit to New Jersey is at the moment. Hedberg played very well when Martin Brodeur was injured last season and is one of the NHL's most capable backup netminders. The Devils did well to bring him back. He is also a fan favorite in New Jersey.
