The Detroit Red Wings have recalled Fabian Brunnstrom from Grand Rapids of the AHL and sent him back to the minors. Brunnstrom was not going to be with the team in Boston for Friday's game on NBC as he remained in Detroit to be with his wife who is expecting their first child. Brunnstrom stated that it will be a boy. The recall happened Wednesday night when the Red Wings sent Brendan Smith to the minors and he was then sent down on Thursday. Good thing that Grand Rapids is nearby because Brunnstrom does not know if he is coming or going.
