The Dallas Stars are going to wait to sign Derek Roy to a contract extension. "I think we want to see what's going on with the CBA," said GM Joe Nieuwendyk. "There's still a lot of uncertainty with the CBA. I think we'll all catch our breath now, he'll get situated in Dallas, and we'll go from there." Roy's current deal expires after the 2012-13 season and then he is eligible for unrestricted free agency. Roy had an off-year last campaign in Buffalo, with 17 goals and 44 points in 80 games, so he will likely be looking to prove himself in his first season with the Stars.
