The Calgary Flames have sent Daymond Langkow to Phoenix in exchange for Lee Stempniak. If Langkow passes a physical examination, he'll rejoin the Coyotes after spending three seasons with them from 2001-02 to 2003-04. Langkow had a streak of eight straight 50 or more point seasons end in 2008-09 when he got 21 goals and 49 points in 73 contests. Unfortunately, he only managed 37 points in 2009-10 and he missed all but four games in 2010-11 with a fractured vertebra. He'll be 35 in September, he's been on the decline for years, and be attempting to bounce back after missing almost an entire season of hockey. With all that in mind, we can't recommend drafting him in standard leagues.
