The Anaheim Ducks have signed Corey Perry to an eight-year contract extension worth a total of $69-million. The deal carries an average annual value of $8.625-million. In 25 games with the Ducks this season, Perry has scored nine goals and added 15 assists with 41 penalty minutes. "Staying in Anaheim has always been my first choice," Perry said in a team release. "This is a great place to play, and I'm very grateful to have the opportunity to remain here." The 27-year-old winger was slated to become an unrestricted free agent this off-season. Perry's is the second eight-year contract the Ducks have handed out this month, as the team locked captain Ryan Getzlaf up to a maximum-term deal on Mar. 8 worth a total of $66 million.
