The Anaheim Ducks handed Sheldon Souray a three-year, $11 million contract. Souray could really light things up on the Ducks' power play thanks to his terrifying slap shot, but the deal comes with some risks. For one thing, he'll turn 36 in July, making his three-year pact a 35+ contract. That's especially worrisome since he's injury-prone and is just a summer removed from coming back from an Edmonton Oilers-driven AHL exodus. There's some major red flags here, but the Ducks are making big defensive investments. In the next three years, they'll commit $21.5 million to Souray and Bryan Allen.
