The addition of center Derek Roy to the St. Louis roster will add a dimension the team has sorely been lacking. The team's top two center ice players last season were David Backes and Patrik Berglund, neither of whom is best known for his playmaking ability. Adding the shifty Roy to the mix fills an important void for the club. "You've got to mix in a little of both, I think," Roy said. "You can't win a Stanley Cup by just throwing pucks at the net, hoping it hits off a skate and goes in. You've got to make plays. You've got to make plays to get out of your zone, you've got to make plays in the neutral zone, you've got to make plays at the net." We like Roy as a very underrated commodity heading into drafts this fall.
