Wheeler has tested positive for COVID-19 and is dealing with symptoms, Mitchell Clinton of the Jets' official site reports. As such, the winger will not play against Minnesota on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
The fact that Wheeler does have COVID-19 symptoms will lengthen the amount of time that he is out of action, including a minimum 10-day quarantine, which will see him out of action at least the next four games. Without Wheeler in the lineup, Andrew Copp will move into a first-line role with Kyle Connor and Mark Scheifele and should also jump up to the top power-play unit.
