The Red Wings hope to get Vrana (shoulder) in the lineup at some point next month, Ansar Khan of MLive.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Wings acquired Vrana in the Anthony Mantha trade at the deadline last year, and he made an immediate impact based on 11 goals, 14 assists and a plus-9 rating through 39 games. Vrana, who required shoulder surgery, reportedly has resumed travel with the Wings and he's been skating, albeit without an exact timeline for his return. "It's not anything that's going to happen in the next couple of weeks," head coach Jeff Blashill said. "He's been skating for a while. It's nice to have him on the trip and keep him as part of the team a little more, but ultimately it's still got to take the time it's going to take to heal, and the surgeon will be the deciding factor in that."
