Tampa Bay Lightning GM Steve Yzerman plans to fill out the rest of the roster with players from the club's AHL affiliate in Syracuse. Tyler Johnson, for one, is expected to get a shot at the second-line center role vacated when the Lightning bought out Vincent Lecavalier. Richard Panik, Ondrej Palat, J.T. Brown and Brett Connolly will also compete with Johnson for one or two forward spots, while Brian Lee, Mark Barberio, Matt Taormina and Andrej Sustr are expected to compete for one spot on defense. "Some of them have played two full years in the minors and done very well. I have to give them an opportunity to take a step forward right now," Yzerman said.
