The Senators acquired Hamonic from the Canucks in exchange for a third-round draft pick Sunday, Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun reports.

Vancouver actually acquires its own 2022 third-round pick after Ottawa received it from Vegas last offseason. Hamonic has seven points in 23 games this season with six of those coming in his last 12 appearances. The 31-year-old should see top-four minutes in Ottawa and has one more year on his $3 million AAV deal.
