Sutter was placed on waivers Friday, Chad Graff of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports. The 27-year-old was auditioning for a role as the Wild's fourth-line center, but it looks like he was unable to best Kyle Brodziak for those duties. Sutter is expected to pass through waivers unclaimed and report to AHL Iowa.
