Thompson stopped 35 of 36 shots in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Sharks.

Thompson was making just his third NHL appearance, and he was excellent to earn the win. The 24-year-old saw his shutout bid spoiled on a Nick Bonino tally in the third period. Thompson's only other appearance this season saw him give up three goals on 26 shots to the Predators. He'll continue to spend time with the big club while Robin Lehner (upper body) is out, though Laurent Brossoit figures to serve as the primary starter.
