Stone produced just 15 points in a 64-game injury-shortened campaign split between Arizona and Calgary.
EDGE Analysis
Stone received a significant upgrade in supporting cast when he was dealt to Calgary in February, but his 19 games (six points) with the Flames weren't enough to make up for his horrendous start with the Coyotes (nine points in 45 contests). Once known as an elite fantasy asset on the blue line in the defensive categories, notably in 2014-15 when he racked up 202 hits and 189 blocked shots, Stone's production in 2016-17 decreased to 125 hits and 143 blocks. That said, the 26-year-old was hampered by injury and challenged with a change of scenery, so it'll be interesting to see what he can do in his first full season with the Flames starting in October.
