Parise has yet to wrinkle the twine as an Islander and only has three assists with a rating of minus-3 in 17 games.
EDGE Analysis
Parise has been a major bust so far with the Islanders as he just doesn't possess the hands and scoring touch he did when he was younger. If the Islanders were scoring goals, this would be more of a blip on the radar, but with the entire team in a goal-scoring slump and top goal scorer Brock Nelson on injured reserve with a lower-body injury, the donut in the goal-scoring column for Parise stands out. Parise will have a chance to put up a crooked number in that column when the Islanders resume their season Thursday versus the Sharks.
