Steve Staios has inked a one-year contract with the New York Islanders. Staios was participating in the Islanders' training camp on a tryout basis. He'll reportedly make at least $800,000 this season, but that figure can increase to as much as $1.6 million if he earns all his bonuses and the Islanders win the Stanley Cup. He had 10 points and 24 penalty minutes in 39 games last season.
