Steve Ott wasn't afraid to stick up for his teammates during a radio interview Wednesday where he criticized Buffalo's fans for booing the club on home ice. "I think it's completely ridiculous, to be honest with you," Ott said. In a follow-up discussion, he commented that he wasn't worried about how the fans will react when the team returns home for Thursday's match versus Montreal. "They're proud, passionate fans. I love it," he said. "I think we're all that way. I'm an emotional player. They're emotional fans. We have the same attitude in this dressing room. I think it's great they show they care. Obviously, just looking for that positive atmosphere in that arena. There's a lot of great factors, things to be proud of getting closer to that playoff spot." Ott has eight goals, 21 points and 67 penalty minutes in 40 games during his first season as a Buffalo Sabre.
