Steve Ott is happy that he was not traded on Monday, despite his name frequently coming up in rumors. The Stars are still in a decent position to make the playoffs and even win their division. Their inaction probably works to Ott's benefit as he routinely gets top-six minutes with Dallas, but a team pursuing him might see Ott as more of a third liner.
