Steve Ott is expected to be the subject of plenty of trade rumors heading into the March 5 deadline. He has leadership qualities and grit, which could help a contending team down the stretch and in the playoffs. Ott is also eligible for unrestricted free agency this summer and he hasn't had any talks with the Sabres on a contract extension. To his credit, he said he would like to stay in Buffalo, but he knows the decision may not be solely up to him. "I am professional enough to know the business side of things and what the situation is here as well," said the Sabres captain. "We'll see how it all plays out in the next two weeks."
