Steve Mason said that a tweak in his game has made a big difference of late. Mason has one of the worst records among goalies but has been at least average of late and picked up his first shutout of the season Thursday, kicking out 32 shots in a 2-0 win over Colorado. "It was just reducing my depth off the rush," Mason said of his time with goaltending coach Ian Clark. "It was something that (he) and I worked on the last couple practices. I was getting a little bit too far out and making too many extra movements. We worked on reducing my depth off the rush and just simplifying things. It paid off tonight." We shall see if Mason is able to continue.
