Steve Mason is ready to return to the Columbus net when he is needed.
Mason has struggled all season and has actually struggled since his rookie season when he was awarded the Calder Trophy and the Blue Jackets thought their goaltending problems would be fixed for the next ten years. But that has not been the case and now veteran journeyman Curtis Sanford has taken over between the pipes and will continue to do so while he is hot. Mason missed three games last week after he took a shot off his mask during practice. A lot of people thought he suffered a concussion but he is fine now. "I'm not sure if it was a concussion," Mason said, "but we dealt with it as if it was. I just had headaches for a couple of days afterward, but I'm fine now. We did the concussion test, and things are good." He is not worth a spot on your fantasy roster at this time, unless he is related to you.
