Steve Mason is considered to be Philadelphia's number one goalie right now after word that the team is set to buy out the remainder of Ilya Bryzgalov's contract. However, Mason is still preparing himself to battle for starts with whoever the Flyers bring in to replace Bryzgalov. GM Paul Holmgren said, "Ideally, we'd be able to get a guy that would work in tandem with him, but the bulk [would go] onto Steve. We'll see how it goes." Some possibilities could be Jose Theodore, Ray Emery, Evgeni Nabokov, or Dan Ellis.
