Steve Mason did what he could to hold off the Rangers, but was saddled with a 2-1 loss in Game 7 of their opening round playoff series. Mason stopped 31 of 33 shots in the defeat and was the primary reason the Flyers didn't trail by a larger margin heading into the third period. Though he was injured to begin the series, Mason posted a 1.97 GAA and .939 save percentage in his four starts, holding up his end of the bargain.
