Steve Mason allowed four goals on 26 shots in Columbus's 4-2 loss to the Buffalo Sabres Thursday night. Mason was a risky fantasy option coming into the season given how inconsistent he has been over the last two seasons and if you drafted him, the gamble has not paid off. He can no longer be viewed as a very low-end second goalie and should be dropped in all scoring formats. Mark Dekanich (when healthy) might steal his job down the line.
