Steve Bernier has signed a minor league contract with New Jersey's AHL affiliate in Albany. He attended training camp on a tryout basis with the Devils and there were reports that he rejected a two-way contract from the team, but GM Lou Lou Lamoriello denied those claims. "He was not offered a contract. He didn't refuse anything," Lamoriello said.
