Stephen Weiss (sports hernia) sounds like he's on the mend. "(Stephen) Weiss is working out real hard, I talked to him, he's optimistic he's headed in the right direction," GM Ken Holland said. Weiss was limited to 26 games during his first season with the Red Wings and he produced just four points. If he's healthy going into next year then he should be plenty motivated to bounce back.
