Stephen Weiss had a rough game Thursday in a 4-2 loss versus Phoenix. He finished the contest with a minus-4 rating and no points. His linemates, Daniel Alfredsson and Johan Franzen, each received minus-3 ratings and they were held off the scoresheet as well. The three of them have combined to generate just four points in four games this season. Detroit will need much more from their second line if they want to keep playing Pavel Datsyuk and Henrik Zetterberg together.
