Stephen Weiss (groin) participated in Wednesday's practice and he didn't feel any pain. He is hoping to return to the lineup in Detroit's first game back after the Olympic break. The plan for Weiss during the Olympics is to skate with the Plymouth Whalers of the OHL and to possibly play for AHL Grand Rapids on a conditioning stint.
