Vadim Zherenko started and allowed six goals over the first two periods. Hofer was able to do his job without much effort in the third. After allowing just four goals on 80 shots over four preseason appearances, Hofer looks ready for the regular season. The 24-year-old will back up Jordan Binnington to begin 2024-25, but Hofer could earn a larger role if Binnington struggles at any point in the campaign.
