Allen will start between the pipes in Friday's road preseason with the Senators, John Lu of TSN.ca reports.

Allen was perfect in his preseason debut Monday against Toronto, stopping all 15 shots he faced before being replaced by Kevin Poulin for the second half of the eventual 5-2 win. Allen will likely once again only play a portion of Friday's contest versus the Senators before being relieved by Poulin.
