That ended a 10-game stretch in which Spezza failed to find the net, which qualifies as an eternity for a player that has topped the 20-goal mark in his last seven full seasons. With only seven goals at the midway point of his first season in Dallas, Spezza looks poised to fall well below that threshold, which may give the Stars some buyer's remorse over the four-year, $30 million extension they signed the center to back in November.
