Smith will be in the net Tuesday against the Ducks, Sarah McLellan of the Arizona Republic reports. Smith dropped his eighth straight game Saturday against the Bruins and only saw his team context dip further south when the Coyotes dealt No. 1 center Antoine Vermette to the Blackhawks hours later and top blueliner Keith Yandle to the Rangers on Sunday. With the Coyotes demonstrating no desire to be competitive over the final few weeks of the season, it's hard to imagine many scenarios where Smith will enter the night as a favorite to pick up the win. That certainly won't be the case against the Ducks, who outpace the Coyotes by 40 points in the Western Conference standings.
