Smith was the game's third star Saturday night after delivering a 33-save performance in a 2-0 loss to Montreal. He allowed just a single goal. This has been a season to forget Smith who has suffered through an erosion of confidences and success. Saturday's effort was a strong one, but that doesn't change the fact that they've come too few and far between. There is a small ray of hope, though, in his last two -- he's allowed just three goals total against the Habs and Orcas. Maybe he'll save his career, but he won't save your squad.
