Smith was pulled in the second period Saturday after allowing four goals on 20 shots in a 4-1 loss to the Bruins. This is Smith's third consecutive game giving up more than four goals. On almost any other team he would have been benched, but since the Coyotes traded Devan Dubnyk it looks like they will stick with him. With a 3.34 goals against and .894 save percentage, Smith is putting up a below replacement-level performance this year.
