Raanta allowed four goals on 31 shots in Tuesday's 4-3 loss to Ottawa.
EDGE Analysis
All the damage against Raanta came in the first 23 minutes, as the Senators raced out to a 4-0 lead. To his credit, Raanta settled down after that point and gave his team a chance to dig out of the hole, but Carolina's comeback bid came up a goal short, dropping the Finn's record to 6-3-1. All-Star Frederik Andersen has rightfully secured the starting role in Carolina, so Raanta's playing time will likely remain constrained to back-to-back situations such as this one.
