Hoffman picked up the secondary helper on Nick Suzuki's second-period goal. He also had a hand in the overtime winner, when he broke his stick and had to retreat to the bench. Cole Caufield jumped over the boards to take Hoffman's spot and buried a slapshot past Carter Hart to seal the two points for Montreal.
