Fitzpatrick has yet to make his NHL debut. The 23-year-old may receive a call-up to backup Sergei Bobrovsky in light of Jonas Johansson (COVID-19 protocols) and Spencer Knight's (COVID-19 protocols) absence. However, it is likely Fitzpatrick will receive a reassignment to AHL Charlotte upon the return of either Knight or Johansson.
