Hughes was drafted fourth overall in 2021, and he just completed his sophomore season at the University of Michigan, where he had 10 goals and 48 points in 39 games. He is the younger brother of Devils superstar Jack Hughes. Luke is expected to be an offensive force from the blue line for New Jersey as soon as next season.
