Vrana (shoulder) has been taking contact in practice, but there remains no timetable for his return, Ansar Khan of MLive.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
According to this report, Vrana has been getting work on the No. 2 power-play unit and taking contact. This development suggests that he has a chance to return soon, but Wings coach Jeff Blashill evidently doesn't know exactly when the talented winger will suit up for the next game. Acquired from Washington last season in the Anthony Mantha trade, Vrana produced 36 points (19 goals, 17 assists) between the two clubs in 2020-21. Detroit is fortunate that rookie Lucas Raymond -- with 13 goals and 26 points through 52 games -- has done such a great job filling the void of Vrana's absence.
