Sharp picked up an assist in Tuesday's shootout win over the Panthers. It was the first point in nine games for Sharp, ending his longest scoring drought of the season. Sharp's ice time had been on the decline amid his struggles, but with the Blackhawks losing Patrick Kane (upper body) to a long-term injury Tuesday, Sharp should be in line for an uptick in minutes. The Blackhawks will be counting on him and other supporting wingers like Kris Versteeg and Brandon Saad to ramp up their production in Kane's absence.
