Shane O'Brien will take part in his 500th career game on Friday against the Colorado Avalanche. O'Brien has 13 goals, 77 assists, and 880 career penalty minutes. "To play my 500th tonight, it's pretty special ... It's a pretty cool feeling and obviously without the support of my mom, dad and sister, I would have never [gotten] here," O'Brien said. "I'll definitely be thinking of them tonight and it's cool playing my former team." O'Brien spent two seasons with the Avalanche before he was traded to the Calgary Flames.
