Brown (upper body) has been cleared to begin practicing but isn't expected back in the short term, Jim Thomas of The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports Monday.

Prior to getting hurt Brown was far from a lock for the lineup, serving as a healthy scratch in six of the team's first 11 contests. As such, Brown shouldn't be expected to offer much in the way of fantasy value even once given the all-clear to play.
