Johnson recorded two power-play assists, two hits and two PIM in Friday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Devils.
EDGE Analysis
Johnson was held without a point or a shot in his Blackhawks debut Wednesday versus the Avalanche. His second game with the team went much better. The 31-year-old was listed as the top-line center between wingers Alex DeBrincat and Patrick Kane, but his 17:58 of ice time was third among centers behind Kirby Dach and Jonathan Toews. Head coach Jeremy Colliton has rarely hesitated to mix lines in game, so Johnson will likely settle for a middle-six role as he looks to improve upon a 22-point effort from 55 contests last year.
