After being drafted in the second round of the 2020 NHL Entry Draft, Peterka scored 28 goals and 68 points in 70 AHL games last season. He also made his NHL debut but was held scoreless in two games. The 20-year-old should jump into a middle-six role with the Sabres to begin the year.
