Sean Monahan has moved up from the fourth line to the second unit alongside Paul Byron and David Jones. Monahan was placed on the fourth line when he returned from a hairline fracture on his ankle and has now been moved up. Coach Bob Hartley will soon start using the sixth overall pick in the 2013 as a penalty killer. "In the near future, you're going to see him on P.K., because I don't want to make him a one-trick pony," Hartley said. "I want Sean Monahan to be the most complete hockey player in the NHL, the most complete centerman in this league, to learn the game in the three zones. There's going to be times that we're going to put him in those situations so he learns from them." Monahan has 11 goals and 17 points this season.
