Sean Couturier has been outstanding for Philadelphia at both ends of the ice early into his first professional season. The talented center dropped to the Flyers at the eighth overall pick and his coach couldn't be happier. "Defensively, penalty kill, he does the right things," said bench boss Peter Laviolette. "Offensively, he got some opportunities and cashed them in. He's been really strong." Couturier has notched five goals and eight points in 13 games, while leading all rookies with a plus-9 rating. If he can keep this up, he should be in the running for the Calder Trophy at the end of the year.
