Petry scored a goal on two shots while adding four hits and two blocked shots in Sunday's 3-2 shootout win over the Islanders.
EDGE Analysis
Petry's wrist shot from the point eluded Ilya Sorokin to give Montreal a 1-0 lead midway through the first period. Much of the credit for the goal goes to Michael Pezzetta and Ryan Poehling, both of whom doggedly battled for the pack behind the New York net. For Petry, it was his third straight game with a point and second time in three games with a goal. Any sort of life he shows now could help general manager Kent Hughes move Petry before the trade deadline.
