Schultz arrived in Pittsburgh for practice Friday and is available for the team's matchup with Calgary on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Traded to the Penguins just before the trade deadline, Schultz was delayed in joining his new team due to immigration issues. With those cleared up, the defenseman will compete for a spot in the lineup, with Ian Cole the likely odd man out if Schultz suits up. In 45 contests with the Oilers this season, the 25-year-old averaged just over 20 minutes of ice time per night, including roughly two minutes of action with the man advantage. It's unlikely Schultz will play on Pittsburgh's top power-play unit, but has a chance to get on the underutilized second squad.
